Seniors got to express their school spirit last Thursday by participating in their last ever spirit day: pajama day.
Some seniors felt emotional, reminiscing about the past four years. Students participated by wearing their favorite sleepwear.
“I've had so much fun doing these school spirit days with my friends,” senior Guillermo Cardona said. “I think participating in this has made the school year much more fun.”
Senior Xavier Mindieta said he wished he participated in past spirit weeks.
“This was the only year where I did spirit days,” Mindieta said. “And they were really fun to do.”
Seniors included that although they feel comfortable in their everyday clothes, it was nice for them to see more people dress home-like.
“I thought it was perfect since everyone looked and was so comfortable,” senior Erick Pacheco said.
Not only did the seniors enjoy the end of spirit week, but they also expressed how it affected them thinking about the future.
"I feel a little down because I won’t be able to do this kind of stuff next year,” Mindieta said. “I’m going to miss these kinds of days when I'm older.”
Cardona said he felt emotional talking about his last spirit week, but he also expressed that he was grateful for participating in this year's spirit week.
“I enjoyed coming up with creative ways to dress up and participate with my friends,” Cardona said. “And I would do it all over again if I could.”
Mindieta recommends everyone take part in spirit days for the memories.
“If I could go back to my other years in high school, I would participate in all of them,” Mindieta said.
