Choir performs their winter show

The choir had their “A Night of Classical Christmas” show yesterday after school and community and family members came to show support.
The choir dressed up festive and sang Christmas songs, featuring music by Vivaldi, Bach, and Handel.
“The Christmas music was very classical and very challenging,” senior and captain of choir Christopher Hernandez said. “This is one of my favorite pieces so far this year.”
Choir students found the preparation for the show to be fun.
“It was an absolute blast,” senior and officer of choir Xavier Ramos said. “A lot of the music that we picked for our December concert was a lot of super classical music.”
Junior Linda Bariji felt that her hard work paid off
“Honestly it’s very rewarding,” Bariji said. “It’s a refreshing feeling that you get to sit back and see all of your amazing achievements come to life.”
Choir teacher Wagner Garza has positive thoughts with how the show went.
“I’m feeling really proud,” Garza said. “Our students worked really hard and I think they sounded amazing.”
The students recommend joining the choir.
“It has a lot of highs and lows but it’s been a fun journey,” Bariji said. “You get to sing, get to learn and it’s like a found family over here.”
Ramos is grateful for the memories he’s made and the lessons he’s learned.
“I have met so many talented and amazing people in this community,” Ramos said. “They have all taught me not only just about singing but also just helped me through so much.”
